Countdown: 2 days

Biggest news today would be Portugal's star Nani was ruled out of the world cup due to the injury sustained in training. The Manchester United winger would be replaced by Benfica midfielder Ruben Amorim. He is the third player to be ruled out of the tournament officially after England captain Rio Ferdinand and Nigerian Mikel. Other doubtful to be fit will Andrea Pirlo of Italy who has his stand-by Andrea Cossu together with the team already. Also in the list will be Dutch star Arjen Robben and Ivory Coast hitman Didier Drogba who are expected to be fit after the tournament kick-off. Meanwhile we are most certain would not see Kjaer(Denmark), Camoranesi(Italy), Suazo(Chile) and Barry(England) for their team opening games. Latest news is that Dutch defender Khalid Boulahrouz has sustained injury in training and most probably would not be available for all 3 matches in group stage. Good news is Torres has already recovered from his injury and should start in the opening game.

Just an updates with regards those big guns latest or shall we say final warm-up games. England has beaten local team Platinum Stars 3-0 with goals from Defoe, J.Cole and Rooney while Brazil demolished Tanzania 5-1 through braces from Robinho and Ramires and a goal from Kaka. Another favourite Spain would face Poland at home later today while Portugal takes on Mozambique. Every other teams have finished their last warm-up games before yesterday.
