As the only realistic hope for African teams to reach second round, Ghana will give their everything to secure a draw against the much favourite Germany side. Of course, it is still possible for them to qualify even if they lose against Germany, but the precondition is Serbia could not beat Australia. If Serbia draws with Australia, Ghana must not lose to Germany more than 1 goal to qualify. If Serbia lost to Australia, Australia shall not win by more than 3 goals. Any which way it is a very dangerous situation for them once they lost to Germany. For Germany, the only way to secure qualification is to win. If they draw, they must hope Australia to hold Serbia to a draw as well. Plenty of calculation around, but it would be foreseeable that Germany will go out attack from the very first minute. While Ghana will try to defend, while hitting Germany from counter attacks through their speedy forwards. If Germany gets an early goal, it could be all over for Ghana. Germany left back Badstuber has been highly criticized for his previous performance. He would have another though test today against Ayew. I would still go for a Germany win, and it could be a very high scoring game.
Player to watch (Ghana): Kevin-Prince Boateng
He is probably the enemy for every Germany players and fans after he ended world cup hope of their captain Michael Ballack. But he has been instrumental for the Ghana midfield so far which lost Michael Essien through injury. It would be very interesting to see how German players play with Boateng on the field.
Player to watch (Germany): Cacau
He would most probably stand in for suspended Klose. This is the opprtunity for him to justify himself as a regular starter for the German.
Prediction: Germany to win 3-2
