Algeria never seem to be good enough to be in the world cup. Their miraculous victory over African champion Egypt as was seen as loss for the world cup. Same happened for the Slovenian as they eliminate the more fancied Russia. On the paper, Algeria is still far from good enough to even secure a draw today. The announcement that heir captain Yazid Mansouri is not fit enough to start against the Slovenian has caused a fair amount of controversy at their camp. Yahia and Bougherra at the back don't seem to be solid enough to handle Dedic and his mates. Slovenia only need to be careful when dealing with Algerian wingers as Ziani and super-sub Belhadj could possees reasonable threat during counter attack. There are no big name in the Slovenia camp, but they are a very organized team which emphasized a lot on team work. Koren is their engine room in the midfield while Dedic and Novakovic could cause plenty of havoc in the Algerian defence. I fancy Slovenia to cruise through despite they are playing on African ground.
