A crucial match for both sides as winner would stand much better chance to progress to the nest round with Argentina. Greece is a very disciplined side and their biggest advantage over the Korean will be their great height which could possess dangers to their opponents in the set-piece. Samaras is a towering forward, Gekas has good aerial ability though he is not tall, and both of them could threat Yong-Hyo and Jung-Soo at the Korean defence when high balls fly in. Korean has good flair with their captain Ji-Sung a particular danger man. Monaco’s Chu-Young and Bolton’s Chung-Yong have good speed down the flanks and I can see them expose the slow Greek fullback. A very tight game and I am going for a narrow win for the Korean
Man to watch (Korea Republic) – Park Ji-Sung
Probably the best player from Asia these years after Nakamura returns to Japan from Celtic and Espanyol. He has plenty to offer as the engine room of the Korean. His hardworking attitude and accurate passing will have to split the Greek defence if Korean is going to win this.
Man to watch (Greece) – Sotiris Ninis
I don’t think he would start for the match. But the talented 20-years old has lot of gifting and could provide some surprised for the Greek and break the balance of the field when he came off the bench.
Predicted score line: South Korea to sneak a 1-0 win.
